I think the difference between hermetic and “deeply allusive” poetry is that they refer to a body of ideas and work, respectively. So less an issue of imitation, than it is broadening and focusing that palette.
But what makes a successful hermetic meaning, either intuitively or in fact? Perhaps, if I may, a certain grace.
